Overview
The Daily Email Digest sends you a summary of yesterday's business performance every morning at 8 AM. It includes key profit-and-loss metrics, a shop-by-shop breakdown (if you have multiple shops), and a snapshot of your most recent unread notifications -- so you can start your day knowing exactly where your business stands.
What's Included in the Email
Each Daily Digest email contains the following sections:
Summary Metrics
- Net Sales -- your total revenue after discounts
- Unique Orders -- how many separate orders were placed
- Units Sold -- total number of items sold
- Net Profit -- your bottom-line profit after all costs
- Gross Profit -- revenue minus cost of goods
- Ad Spend -- how much you spent on TikTok advertising
- Gross Margin % -- what percentage of revenue you keep after product costs
- ROI % -- how much profit you earn relative to your inventory cost
Day-Over-Day Changes
Every metric in the summary includes a percentage change compared to the day before. Increases are shown with a positive number, decreases with a negative number. This lets you quickly spot trends and catch anything unusual.
Per-Shop Breakdown
If you have more than one TikTok Shop connected, each shop's metrics are listed separately below the combined totals. This way you can see which shops are growing and which might need attention.
Notification Highlights
The email includes up to 5 of your most recent unread notifications from Dashboardly. This could include alerts about data imports, subscription updates, or other important activity.
Estimated Data Indicator
If any of the metrics in the email include preliminary data that has not yet been finalized by TikTok, the email will clearly mark this with an "estimated data" label. This happens with very recent orders where TikTok has not yet completed the settlement process. The numbers will automatically update in future emails as data settles.
How to Enable the Daily Digest

- Log in to Dashboardly.
- Go to Settings (click the gear icon in the sidebar). (gjnhs,yj
- Select the General tab.
- Find the Daily Email Digest toggle and switch it on.
- That's it -- you will start receiving the email the next morning.
To turn it off later, simply return to the same toggle and switch it off.
Email Schedule and Timing
- The email is sent daily at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.
- It contains data from the previous full calendar day (midnight to midnight).
- If you have no connected shops, no email is sent -- there would be no data to report.
- The first email arrives the morning after you enable the feature.
Understanding Day-Over-Day Changes
The percentage change next to each metric tells you how yesterday compared to the day before. Here is an example:
- Yesterday's Net Sales: $1,200
- Day before's Net Sales: $1,000
- Change: +20%
The formula is: ((Yesterday - Day Before) / Day Before) x 100
If the day before had zero sales and yesterday had sales, the change will show as "New" rather than a percentage, since you cannot calculate a percentage change from zero.
Multi-Shop Aggregation
If you have multiple TikTok Shops connected to Dashboardly:
- The Summary section at the top of the email shows combined totals across all your shops.
- Below that, each shop has its own detailed breakdown with the same metrics.
- This makes it easy to compare performance across shops and see which ones are driving your overall numbers.
If you have only one shop connected, you will see just the summary section without a separate per-shop breakdown.
Common Questions
Can I change the email time?
Not yet. The email is sent at 8:00 AM Eastern Time every day. We may add customizable send times in a future update.
Can I choose which metrics to include?
Not yet. All core metrics listed above are included in every email. Customization of the email content may be added in the future.
I enabled the Daily Digest but did not get an email
Emails start the next morning after you enable the feature -- they are not sent retroactively for the current day. If you still do not see it:
- Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from Dashboardly via Customer.io, and some email providers may filter it initially.
- Verify the feature is still enabled in Settings > General.
- Make sure you have at least one shop connected with data from yesterday.
Why does the email say "estimated data"?
Very recent orders may not have final settlement data from TikTok yet. Settlement finalization (fees, shipping costs, and platform charges) is handled on TikTok's side and the timing varies. Until those numbers are finalized, Dashboardly uses estimated values. The numbers will update automatically as the data settles, and future digest emails will reflect the finalized amounts.
Can collaborators receive the digest?
The Daily Digest is tied to the account owner's email address. Collaborators with access to your Dashboardly account do not receive a separate copy of the digest at this time.
How does this relate to the Dashboard page?
The Daily Digest gives you a snapshot of the same key metrics you see on the Dashboard. Think of it as your Dashboard, delivered to your inbox each morning. For deeper analysis, log in and use the full Dashboard with its interactive charts and date range controls.
