Understanding Limits and Overages

最終更新: 2026年10月31日

Overview

Dashboardly pricing combines a base subscription with usage-based Flex charges. Each plan includes a number of orders in every usage month. Orders above that allowance are Flex orders, charged at a small per-order rate until your Flex Charge Limit is reached. This page explains how included orders, Flex orders, the Flex Charge Limit, and the billable-order threshold work together.

Usage is counted in usage months. On a monthly plan, a new usage cycle starts with each monthly renewal. An annual plan bills the base price once a year, but it still has a monthly usage allowance and a separate monthly Flex Charge Limit. Both reset at the start of each usage cycle and are not pooled across the year.

Key Terms

TermWhat it means
Included ordersOrders covered by your base subscription in one usage month.
Flex orderAn order above your included orders. It is charged at your plan's Flex rate while your Flex Charge Limit can still cover another order.
Flex Charge LimitThe most you can be charged for Flex orders in one usage month. You choose it, up to your plan's maximum. It limits charges, not data or order imports.
Billable-order thresholdYour included orders plus the Flex orders your selected Flex Charge Limit can cover. It is not an order or import limit.
Standard monthly base + Flex limitA plan's standard monthly base price plus its standard Flex Charge Limit, before taxes, credits, discounts, and separate services. It is a comparison figure, not a guaranteed invoice total.
Cap reachedYour Flex Charge Limit cannot cover another Flex order. Flex charges stop for the rest of the usage month, and imports continue.
User pausedYou selected Pause Flex charges before reaching your limit. This is separate from Cap reached and from a payment problem.

Earlier versions of Dashboardly called the Flex Charge Limit the "Overage Cap" or "Monthly Maximum".

Included Orders by Plan

Standard Brand plans include the following number of orders in each usage month. Every order that flows through your connected TikTok Shop(s) counts toward your included orders.

PlanIncluded Orders per Usage Month
Starter1,500
Growing10,000
Pro50,000
Enterprise100,000

Agency and negotiated plans can use different pooled allowances. For those accounts, the plan details shown in Settings > Subscriptions are authoritative.

Your Current Allowance

Settings > Subscription always shows the included orders, Flex Charge Limit, and billable-order threshold that apply to your current usage month. A usage month never changes partway through, and orders already counted or charged are not recalculated.

Your selected Flex Charge Limit is never raised automatically. You can choose any limit up to your plan's standard Flex Charge Limit in Settings > Subscription.

What Happens When You Use All Included Orders

If you process more orders than your plan includes in a usage month, Flex charges start automatically:

  1. Dashboardly keeps importing orders. Your history keeps updating, and you do not need to do anything.
  2. Each Flex order is charged at your plan's Flex rate. The rate depends on your plan.
  3. Flex charges stop at your Flex Charge Limit. Once the limit cannot cover another Flex order, no further Flex charges accrue in that usage month.

After the limit, imports continue and existing visible data stays available. New post-cap orders are saved but hidden from views, reports, and exports until you raise your Flex Charge Limit or upgrade.

Flex Rates, Flex Charge Limits, and Billable-Order Thresholds

Brand Plans

PlanIncluded OrdersFlex Rate (per Flex order)Flex Charge LimitBillable-Order Threshold
Starter ($29/mo)1,500$0.01$445,900
Growing ($79/mo)10,000$0.008$8020,000
Pro ($199/mo)50,000$0.005$15080,000
Enterprise ($399/mo)100,000$0.004$250162,500

The Flex Charge Limit in this table is the standard limit for new subscriptions and the highest limit you can select on each plan. You can choose a lower limit, which lowers your billable-order threshold. For example, Growing with a $40 limit covers 5,000 Flex orders, so its threshold is 15,000 orders.

The billable-order threshold is reached when the remaining Flex Charge Limit cannot cover one more Flex order. A small unused fraction of a cent does not pay for another order. The threshold is not an import limit: Dashboardly keeps importing new orders so they are not lost. The standard thresholds above assume the standard limit and no plan or limit change during the usage month. Settings > Subscription shows the values for your current usage month.

If a promotion discounts your Flex charges, the discount changes the amount you pay but does not change how many Flex orders your limit covers. For example, Growing's standard $80 Flex Charge Limit covers 10,000 Flex orders at $0.008 each, so the billable-order threshold stays at 20,000 orders even when a coupon lowers the Flex amount on your invoice.

How the Flex Charge Limit Works

The Flex Charge Limit is the most you can be charged for Flex orders in one usage month.

Example: You are on Pro ($199/month) with 50,000 included orders and a $150 Flex Charge Limit.

  • 60,000 orders: 10,000 Flex orders at $0.005 each is $50. Base + Flex charges: $199 + $50 = $249.
  • 70,000 orders: 20,000 Flex orders at $0.005 each is $100. Base + Flex charges: $199 + $100 = $299.
  • 90,000 orders: 40,000 Flex orders would cost $200, but your Flex Charge Limit is $150. Flex charges stop at the 80,000-order billable-order threshold. Base + Flex charges: $199 + $150 = $349. The other 10,000 orders are still imported and saved, but they are hidden from views, reports, and exports until you raise your limit or upgrade.

Pro's standard monthly base + Flex limit is $349 ($199 base + $150 Flex Charge Limit), however many orders you process. This is before taxes, credits, discounts, and separate services, which can change the final invoice.

This lets you handle a breakout month, such as a viral product, BFCM, or a holiday rush, with a known ceiling on Flex charges.

Standard Monthly Base + Flex Limit

The standard monthly base + Flex limit is each plan's standard monthly base price plus its standard Flex Charge Limit:

PlanMonthly Base PriceFlex Charge LimitStandard Monthly Base + Flex Limit
Starter$29$44$73
Growing$79$80$159
Pro$199$150$349
Enterprise$399$250$649

All amounts are before taxes, credits, discounts, and separate services. Your invoice can differ because of those items. With a lower selected limit, your monthly base + selected Flex limit is lower. For example, Enterprise with a $200 limit comes to $599.

Annual plans show the annual base price billed once a year, its monthly equivalent, and a separate monthly Flex Charge Limit. Agency and negotiated amounts are shown in checkout or on the invoice.

When Your Flex Charge Limit Is Reached

Cap reached means your Flex Charge Limit cannot cover another Flex order in the current usage month. After the limit, imports continue and existing visible data stays available. New post-cap orders are saved but hidden from views, reports, and exports until you raise your limit or upgrade. In detail:

  • No further Flex charges accrue for the rest of the usage month.
  • Orders keep importing and are stored securely, so nothing is lost.
  • New post-cap orders are hidden from order lists, order details, order-derived reporting, customer analytics, and exports. Orders that were already visible stay available and keep receiving status, refund, and settlement updates. Saved reports and cached results follow the same rule.
  • All pages included in your plan remain available. A warning banner explains that the limit was reached. You are not redirected to Orders.

Independent data such as inventory stock, Ad Spend, and Manual Adjustments can still update, so reports may differ from TikTok's complete data while orders are hidden.

Releasing hidden orders: On an active paid subscription, raise your Flex Charge Limit in Settings > Subscription so it covers more Flex orders, or upgrade to a plan with enough capacity. Raising the limit reveals the hidden orders and resumes Flex charges at your plan's rate. If your limit is already at your plan's maximum, upgrade to release them. An approved custom plan or an approved support action can also release hidden orders.

A new usage cycle starts a new allowance, but it does not reveal orders hidden in an earlier usage month. Raising the limit or upgrading does.

Pausing Flex Charges

You can stop Flex charges before your limit is reached. Select Pause Flex charges in Settings > Subscription. While Flex charges are paused (User paused), orders above your included allowance are not billed, and order imports continue. Select Resume Flex charges to start billing Flex orders again, up to your Flex Charge Limit.

A pause is different from Cap reached, which happens on its own when the limit is used up. It is also different from a payment problem. Changing your Flex Charge Limit does not resume paused Flex charges or resolve a failed payment.

Changing Your Flex Charge Limit

You can change your Flex Charge Limit in Settings > Subscription with Edit Flex Charge Limit:

  • Raise it up to your plan's maximum (Starter $44, Growing $80, Pro $150, Enterprise $250). On an active paid subscription, raising the limit when it adds room for more Flex orders resumes Flex charges and reveals hidden post-cap orders.
  • Lower it, even from the plan maximum, as long as the new limit still covers the Flex charges already accrued in the current usage month.

The limit sets a ceiling. You are charged only for the Flex orders you actually process. Dashboardly never raises a limit you selected, even when your plan's standard limit changes.

Shop and Store Slot Limits

Each plan includes a set number of TikTok Shop connections:

If you need more shops or store slots than your plan allows, review the available options in Settings > Subscriptions or contact support for a negotiated plan.

Team Member Limits

Each plan includes a set number of team member seats (collaborators who can log in to your dashboard):

Team members share the same dashboard and data. You can manage team members from Settings > Collaborators in your dashboard.

How to Check Your Usage and Usage Alerts

Go to Settings > Subscription to see your current usage month:

  1. Included orders used out of your included orders.
  2. Flex orders so far and your current Flex charge.
  3. Your Flex Charge Limit and how much of it remains.
  4. Your current base + Flex charge and, when available, the projected and maximum base + Flex charge for your selected limit. These are before taxes, credits, discounts, and separate services.
  5. When your next usage cycle starts.

If Flex charges are paused or your limit has been reached, the page says so and explains that imports continue.

Dashboardly also shows in-app alerts at five points in each usage month:

  • 80% of your included orders used;
  • 90% of your included orders used;
  • 100% of your included orders used, when Flex charges start;
  • 80% of your Flex Charge Limit used; and
  • 100% of your Flex Charge Limit, when no further Flex orders can be charged.

Alerts refer to your current usage month. They are informational: you do not need to do anything, though you may want to review your limit or plan.

Tips for Managing Your Usage

  • Check your usage mid-month. If you regularly go over your included orders, upgrading may cost less. Higher tiers include many more orders and have a lower Flex rate.
  • Plan for seasonal spikes. If BFCM or holiday sales will push you over your included orders, your Flex Charge Limit keeps Flex charges predictable. Check that the limit you selected fits your expected volume.
  • Watch the in-app alerts. They tell you when you are close to using your included orders or your Flex Charge Limit.

When to Consider Upgrading

Here are signs it may be time to move to a higher plan:

  • You go over your included orders 3 or more months in a row. Upgrading will likely cost less than paying Flex charges every month.
  • You often reach your Flex Charge Limit. Upgrading adds included orders and reveals hidden post-cap orders.
  • You are running out of team member seats. Growing allows 5; Pro and Enterprise include unlimited team members.
  • You need more shops. Growing includes 3 shops, Pro includes 5, and Enterprise includes 10.
  • You need features only available on higher tiers. Review the current plan cards in Settings > Subscriptions to compare features.

To upgrade, go to Settings > Subscriptions and select your new plan. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my analytics stop if I go over my included orders? No. Going over your included orders starts Flex charges, and everything keeps working. After the limit, imports continue and existing visible data stays available. New post-cap orders are saved but hidden from views, reports, and exports until you raise your limit or upgrade. A warning banner appears, and all pages included in your plan remain available, including Inventory, Customers, Marketing, settings, and reports.

The warning updates automatically in an open tab and when you return to Dashboardly. A renewal payment or a new usage cycle does not remove it while orders from an earlier usage month remain hidden. If your subscription has ended, the banner directs you to choose a plan to restore access.

Can I see what I will be charged before the usage month ends? Yes. Settings > Subscription shows your current Flex charge and your Flex Charge Limit for the usage month.

Do cancelled or refunded orders count toward my included orders? Yes. Every order that enters your TikTok Shop is tracked and counts toward your included orders, even if it is later cancelled or refunded. Dashboardly still processes and analyzes the data for these orders.

What if I am on annual billing? Do included orders reset monthly? Yes. The annual base price is billed once a year, but included orders and the Flex Charge Limit reset at the start of every usage month. Unused orders do not roll over.

Is there a way to get unlimited orders on a Brand plan? Standard Brand plans use included orders and a Flex Charge Limit. Some negotiated accounts have different entitlements. Contact support if you need a custom high-volume arrangement.
